Changes to Homiletics
Homiletics has been serving pastors for over 30 years in one form or another.
We started with the printed journal in 1983 and then added the online version in the early 90s and then, in July of 2018, went to an online-only version. No matter what medium Homiletics Online is in, our editorial team aims to provide engaging sermon ideas to help kick-start the weekly sermon writing process.
Print Edition Ends
In 2018 we made a difficult decision to discontinue the printed journal of Homiletics. It was important to us that we continue to provide cutting-edge material that our pastors and subscribers had grown accustomed to -- and so, in order to maintain that quality, the paper journal was discontinued. This change allowed us to focus on our writing and post the material on the website.
Online Version Improvements
In 2021, the time came to update the online tools at the website to save users time in clicking through pages on the website. The search option was beefed up and centralized with only one search function rather than seven different search functions. A "Reader View" was also added to make accessing the content on mobile versions more user-friendly.
Based on their feedback, beta-test users overwhelmingly love the new site, saying the search feature is better and the navigation is easier. We hope you love the new website as much as they do!
